The chapter on consent as a skill rather than a checkbox completely reframed how I talk to my teenagers. It's sharp and funny in places, but the practical scripts for calling out everyday sexism are what I keep coming back to.

Friedman's takedown of what she calls "fuckability" as a measure of women's worth hit me harder than I expected. I've read a lot of feminist writing, but her background as a sex educator gives the chapters on consent and pleasure a practicality the theory-heavy books lack.
